Pyestock Diaries

The "brown corridor" ended at a single door from which we could see one of the huge "fan buildings", characterised by their long narrow shape and a myriad of huge fans on the roof. A small staircase to our right lead to a couple of small offices. Now in a mess, it was the usual collection of magazines, calendars and (strangely) Commodore Amiga game disks. But, apart from the control room, it was one of the few places at Pyestock to have chairs and it seemed a prudent time for a break.

It quickly became apparent that both of us hadn't remembered to bring any food.

I rummaged around in my bag: "All I’ve got is water. Do you want some?"
"Cheers. I forgot my water."
