The carbon dioxide cylinders are part of a rapid response fire system. In the event of a fire, the
cylinders are rapidly emptied, so the increased carbon dioxide levels in the room are enough to quash
the fire. This system also requires all personnel to get out of the building within thirty seconds or risk suffocation.
